We're looking for a passionate Digital Communications professional to join our small and multi-skilled Communications team. This role offers you the chance to strengthen our online presence as we expand our digital capabilities to support new areas of work. You'll develop engaging bilingual content that connects with our diverse audiences across Wales.
Key responsibilities
* Create, edit and publish compelling bilingual content across multiple digital platforms. Ensure all content meets accessibility standards and Welsh language requirements
* Develop engaging visual assets using design tools including Adobe Creative Suite and Canva. Support the storyboarding, shooting, and editing of video content
* Monitor and evaluate digital channel performance in line with the GCS Evaluation Cycle. Use insights to continuously improve content and audience engagement
* Support the implementation of communication activities outlined in our OASIS plans. Travel across Wales to capture authentic content
* Conduct social media listening to identify trends, audience sentiment, and emerging topics relevant to our activities
* Maintain our reputation through consistent, professional communications that follow government accessibility standards and our brand guidelines
* Support the Welsh Language and Internal Communications Manager with Welsh language standards compliance
What you'll bring
The ideal candidate will have:
* Essential Welsh language skills (Level 4: reading, spoken, understanding and written)
* Experience working with a range of social media channels in a professional capacity
* Strong content creation skills with high levels of accuracy in bilingual written work
* Experience in design software tools and film/media creation
* A collaborative approach with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders
* Knowledge of digital accessibility standards and best practices
* Strong organisational skills and a solution-focused mindset
