Drama Teacher – Full-time, short-term cover until May half term 2026 (with potential extension to July) The inspection report highlights a calm, inclusive school environment where pupils are highly engaged and supported to achieve well. Teaching is purposeful and well structured, enabling pupils to develop confidence, creativity, and strong learning behaviours. Leadership provides clear direction and maintains high expectations, creating a positive culture that supports both staff and pupils. This Drama Teacher role offers the opportunity to work full time within a supportive secondary school environment on a short-term basis. The Drama Teacher will focus on delivering engaging, creative lessons without the requirement for planning or marking, allowing full attention to high-quality classroom delivery and pupil engagement. This role is ideal for a Drama Teacher seeking a focused teaching opportunity with a clear end date and potential extension. Duties as Drama Teacher: Deliver engaging Drama lessons across secondary year groups Follow existing schemes of work and lesson resources Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment Support pupils’ confidence, creativity, and performance skills Manage classroom behaviour in line with school expectations Encourage active participation and collaboration in Drama lessons Work collaboratively with department staff and cover managers Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times Ideal Drama Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification Experience teaching Drama at secondary level Confident classroom and behaviour management skills Enthusiastic, creative, and engaging teaching style Ability to adapt quickly to an established curriculum Reliable and professional approach to short-term teaching commitments Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people Why Class Act?
