Job Description
Newstaff Employment Services is actively seeking skilled Van Drivers to join our team in Dunstable. As a Van Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods safely and efficiently to various locations, providing excellent service to our clients while maintaining high standards of professionalism. You’ll play a key role in our logistics operations, ensuring that deliveries are made on time and in good condition. Your role will involve driving, loading and unloading cargo, and maintaining vehicle safety standards.
Responsibilities
1. Safely operate a van for timely deliveries of goods within Dunstable and surrounding areas.
2. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
3. Accurately maintain delivery logs and documentation.
4. Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery progress and any issues that may arise.
5. Assist with loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
6. Follow all traffic laws and regulations to promote a safe driving environment.
Requirements
7. Valid UK driving license, preferably with experience driving vans.
8. Prior experience as a Van Driver is preferred.
9. Strong knowledge of local routes in Dunstable and surrounding areas.
10. Excellent driving skills and a clean driving record.
11. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently.
12. Effective communication skills and a commitment to customer service.
13. Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
Benefits
£13.50-£14.00 per hour
