NB: Roles require working regular unsociable hours, which attract premium pay rates in addition to the salary:
* Monday to Friday: 7pm to 8am with a 30% premium
* Weekend: 8am Saturday to 8am Monday with a 50% premium
* Public/Bank Holidays: 8am to 8am with a 50% premium; time off in lieu is also applicable.
Role Overview: The job involves providing 24-hour coverage at an Approved Premises, including security and monitoring. Responsibilities include supporting residents, contributing to risk management and sentence plan objectives, and reporting significant changes to ensure safety and security.
Summary: The successful candidate will assist in residents' well-being and supervision, maintain discipline, adhere to AP rules, license conditions, and court orders. The role involves substantial out-of-hours work, including night shifts and weekends, and may require covering other premises during staff absences.

Responsibilities, Activities & Duties:
* Contribute to effective team practice and communicate effectively with colleagues.
* Communicate key risk issues during handovers and throughout shifts, including liaising with external agencies.
* Conduct regular inspections of the premises and monitor CCTV.
* Maintain a visible presence, engage positively with residents, and monitor their behavior.
* Manage high-risk residents, challenging abusive or aggressive behavior appropriately.
* Contribute to residents' risk management and report significant changes.
* Support residents' sentence plans through purposeful activities.
* Ensure premises are secure during curfew and confirm residents' wellbeing overnight.
* Act as a first point of contact out of hours.
* Provide accurate situation and risk assessments to relevant managers and escalate as needed.
* Create and maintain a safe environment, adhering to health and safety legislation.
* Perform health and safety checks, fire alarm tests, and curfew checks.
* Conduct room searches based on risk concerns.
* Assist with residents' possessions and deliver activities aligned with sentence plans.
* Supervise meals and undertake effective resident induction.
* Follow medication procedures, including issuing medication and auditing medication sheets.
