We are looking for someone with a background in and/or interest in digital to be our newest Digital Content Editor (Apprentice)!
To be successful within the role, you will need experience working within a digital environment and an understanding of the different approaches needed across all categories. You will be tasked with ensuring deadlines are met, Homebase.co.uk is optimised, and putting all your digital savvy into driving digital growth for Homebase.
Training: As an apprentice, you will be given the opportunity to gain a fully accredited "Content Creator: Level 3" qualification, to give you the tools and skills you need to ensure you can develop and create digital content that can be used across a variety of platforms and media.
Contract: Permanent - 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday (8am - 4pm OR 9am - 5pm)
We are open to considering candidates looking for flexible and/or part-time hours (minimum 30 hours per week, pro-rata) and are happy to discuss your particular requirements at screening stages.
Location: We operate a hybrid working policy, with 2 days (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) in our Milton Keynes Offices per week, the rest you can work from wherever works best for you!
(This may be up to 4 days per week on rare occasions as per business needs, but you can expect to work from the office 2 days per week regularly).
What will you be doing?
(including but not limited to)
* Carry out regular updates to the website to support trading activity, range reviews, campaigns and events.
* Implement category structures and new page layouts to support deep dive projects focused on improving the customer experience.
* Ensure the right products are mapped to categories and pages are merchandised in line with the strategies and principles outlined
* Schedule updates to the website for promotional changeover periods.
* Maintain navigation menus and internal links ensuring easy site navigation.
What you need to be successful:
* CMS experience in a retail environment (desirable)
* Digital expert with strong e-commerce knowledge (expert)
* Great attention to detail
* Planning and managing own workload in line with business priorities and plans
* Methodical worker, structured and organised
