Nursing Support Worker
We have an opportunity for a Nursing Support Worker to join our dedicated team on Ward 19&20, Royal Glamorgan Hospital, which is an Acute Stroke Unit.
We are looking for reliable, motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join the team.
The role requires working under the direction of the registered nurse, ensuring high standards of care are provided and maintained at all times.
You will be responsible for providing care for patients who require assistance with all activities of daily living including washing, dressing, mobilising, feeding and pressure area care. The successful candidate will also complete documentation to an acceptable standard and assist in keeping the ward area clean and clutter free.
Applicants must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, the ability to use their own initiative and be flexible regarding shift patterns.
Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. Whilst the candidate does not need to be fluent, speaking and listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above are considered an advantage when short‑listing and selecting candidates.

Qualifications
* Level 3 qualification in a health care related subject OR equivalent experience and evidence of work‑based competency demonstrating theoretical knowledge and the ability to undertake clinical care duties relevant for the role which is gained through experience and work‑based training/short courses.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975; therefore a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service is required to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Salary: £26,300 to £27,890 a year pro rata.
