Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Hotel Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage various tasks efficiently in a busy hotel environment. Additionally, this position includes an overnight on-call role.
Accommodation and meals provided.
A background in hospitality or guest services is preferred.
Full training provided.
Responsibilities
* Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with information about the hotel and its amenities.
* Manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently, ensuring all guest details are accurately recorded.
* Handle phone calls with professionalism, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
* Assist guests with reservations, special requests, and any concerns during their stay.
* Maintain a clean and organised reception area, ensuring all materials are up to date.
* Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
* Process payments and maintain accurate records of transactions.
* Assist with overnight emergencies on an on-call basis.
Skills
* Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
* Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
* Proactive and quick to learn, with excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in guest-facing situations.
* Proficient in using computer systems for booking management and record keeping.
* Be a team player - Able to work with other departments.
