Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Headteacher – Inclusion & SEND, based in Birmingham. The Assistant Headteacher will be responsible for overseeing the school's inclusion and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision, ensuring that all students receive the support they need. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with staff, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), monitoring student progress, and providing training and support to teachers and support staff. The role also entails contributing to the overall leadership and management of the school and promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications
* Experience in SEND and Inclusion Coordination
* Strong leadership and management skills
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to develop and implement IEPs
* Proficient in monitoring and assessing student progress
* Experience in providing training and support to staff
* Strong understanding of educational legislation and policies related to SEND
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant advanced qualifications in SEND
