Job Description
The main duties are as follows:
1. Teaching assigned classes, including associated preparation and correction.
2. Developing the school curriculum.
3. Assessing, recording, and reporting pupils' work.
4. Preparing pupils for examinations and assisting with their administration.
5. Providing advice and guidance to pupils on educational issues.
6. Promoting and safeguarding the health, welfare, and safety of pupils.
7. Working in partnership with parents, support staff, and other professionals.
8. Undertaking appropriate and agreed Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
9. Participating in school planning, raising achievement, and individual review.
10. Contributing to good order and addressing the wider needs of the school.
The Individual
Start date: August. Applications will be considered from applicants who are provisionally registered and able to take up unpromoted permanent positions on a temporary basis. Full-time, part-time, and job-share applications are welcome.
This post is considered a Regulated Role under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. The successful candidate must join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to any formal employment offer by Moray Council.
