Job Description
Enjoy solving payment puzzles and keeping ledgers in shape? Are you confident with Excel and happy speaking with people by phone and email? Signature Recruitment is looking for a Credit Controller to support a busy finance team at a well-regarded London higher education university.
This is a temporary Credit Controller role for 4 to 6 weeks, starting immediately and offering hybrid working with Monday and Friday based on campus. This position is for 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with an hourly rate of £17.10 per hour, plus holiday pay.
This work suits someone with credit control, sales ledger, accounts receivable, or finance administration experience. Speaking with students, parents, companies, and internal teams is a vital part of the role, so a calm, helpful, and professional approach is important. You will join a supportive finance team with clear processes and training will be provided on the appropriate systems. This is a good opportunity to build experience in cash collection, debt management, and ledger administration. It would suit someone who enjoys accurate work and routine follow-up tasks.

* Chase outstanding payments by phone and email, including reminder communications
* Update spreadsheets, reports, ledgers, and finance records with accurate data
* Review aged debt, credit balances, and overdue items across finance ledgers
* Support invoice, credit note, refund, and cash allocation processes
* Record updates on finance systems and complete general administration tasks
Credit Controller - Key Skills:
* Experience in credit control, sales ledger, accounts receivable, or finance administration
* Good Excel skills, including spreadsheets and simple formulae
* Clear communication skills and a friendly, resilient phone manner
