Civil Engineering Roles – Teesside (Net Zero Teesside Power)

About the Project
These roles are for a landmark Net Zero Teesside Power project, a world-first gas-fired power station with carbon capture and storage.
The plant is expected to capture up to 2 million tonnes of CO₂ per year.
It will generate up to 742 MW of low-carbon power, enough for over 1 million UK homes.
Main construction begins in 2025, with completion planned by 2028.
At peak, the project will employ around 1,500 people.
What You’ll Be Doing
Depending on your role, you will:
Review and check drawings, specifications, and technical data
Raise technical queries where needed
Perform setting out and maintain survey and engineering control
Lead and manage your area of works on site
Support HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, Quality) compliance
Produce as-built drawings, daily records, and quality check sheets
Monitor productivity, materials, and weekly progress against the programme
Calculate take‑offs, do weekly measures, and identify additional work
Mentor or train junior engineering staff (especially for Site Engineers)
What We’re Looking For
Civil engineering / site engineering experience
Strong technical understanding of construction drawings and setting out
Experience in HSEQ processes and quality documentation
Good communication and leadership skills
Valid CSCS card (or equivalent)
Additional qualifications (SMSTS, NEBOSH) are a plus
