The Role:
An established UK construction contractor is seeking an experienced Design Manager to work on a chemical/industrial building refurbishment project in Manchester City Centre.
This role will suit a Design Manager with strong technical knowledge and experience managing complex refurbishment works, particularly within regulated or high-risk environments. You will play a key role in coordinating design information, managing consultants, and ensuring buildability, compliance, and programme certainty throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing and coordinating the design process from pre-construction through to completion
2. Acting as the main point of contact between the construction team, consultants, and the client on design matters
3. Reviewing and managing design deliverables to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and client requirements
