JOB DESCRIPTION MedPro has an exciting opportunity for an Analyst to oversee underwriting, claims and delegated authority governance together with the development of MI associated with those areas of the business. Reporting to the Underwriting & Claims Governance & MI Manager, the person will partner with underwriting and claims, coordinating due diligence, and monitor governance by a combination of preventative and detective controls. The team are also developing a suite of management reports, using Alteryx and Tableau and this role will also play a key part in delivering that initiative. Key responsibilities Works in collaboration with underwriting and claims to assemble new and renewal delegated authority proposals for submission to the Delegated Underwriting and Product Oversight Group (DUPOG). Responsible for day to day oversight, monitoring and auditing of delegated authority arrangements and handling of respective issues, escalations, reporting, logging and governance. Preparation of MI and packs for relevant underwriting and claims groups and committees. Production of data and MI, designing and producing reports using Excel. Participate in initiatives to develop MedPro's data control / staging area. Monitor premium development against EPI's. Works with Underwriting, Claims and companies within the wider Group, to monitor receipt and quality of bordereaux and financials. Ensures all contract amendments instructed by Underwriting and Claims are incorporated into binding authority and other relevant contracts, working closely with Legal, escalating any issues or changes and ensuring that these are approved and reflected in contracts prior to any changes becoming effective. Monitors contractual SLA's including those with coverholders as appropriate and escalating when appropriate. Prepares Letters of Authority for Underwriting and Claims and monitors adherence and exceptions. Works across wider business projects This job description is not intended to be exhaustive. PE RSON SPECIFICATION Knowledge, skills and experience The ideal candidate should have at least 3-5 years’ experience working within the insurance industry and an in depth technical knowledge of underwriting, claims, governance & delegated authorities. Previous experience in an Operational role with exposure to Delegated Authorities is preferred. Ability to engage with and influence stakeholders to achieve effective business outcomes. Develops and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Able to work across multiple diverse geographies and cultures Plans and prioritises own workload effectively Provides guidance and seeks input from others as needed to achieve the best result possible. Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision. Ability to exercise judgment to ensure straightforward issue resolution. Ability to analyse and interpret data appropriately and identify trends in order to direct/engage with others as needed. Beneficial to have knowledge of Tableau.
