Investment Banking Associate - Equity Capital Markets

Our client is a global independent advisory firm looking to hire an Associate into its growing Equity Capital Markets team, with a specific focus on private capital markets.
The Opportunity
The team sits within the firm's broader equity solutions business, which operates as a fully integrated platform alongside the firm's market-leading M&A and debt advisory practices. The equity business is built around two pillars: executing equity transactions for corporates and shareholders (both sponsor and non-sponsor backed), and maintaining deep relationships with a wide network of public equity and strategic / private investors.
The Associate will be focused on the private equity capital markets side of the platform — advising private companies and their shareholders on raising equity and equity-like capital. Transaction types include minority equity and non-control investments, preferred and structured equity, syndicated minority transactions, and growth equity raises. The team's expertise lies in structuring and managing non-control equity transactions, working closely with M&A and debt advisory colleagues to deliver holistic advice on transaction options, structuring, governance, investor selection, and execution.
The work is heavily weighted towards live transactions rather than pitching, with a strong and consistent pipeline of deals.
Requirements
* 3–5 years of experience in investment banking, transaction services, or private equity
* Previous experience in private ECM or M&A is a plus, but not essential — candidates with a demonstrable interest in private equity capital markets from adjacent backgrounds will be considered
* Strong financial modelling skills and a sharp analytical mindset
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to apply critical thinking to both execution and origination
* Minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent
