Position: Animal Facilities Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Animal Facilities Manager to join our team at Sequani Limited in Ledbury, Herefordshire. The role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our animal facilities.
Department Overview
The Laboratory Animal Sciences (LAS) department implements and ensures adherence to the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986 and guarantees compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP). LAS comprises several animal facilities focused on different species and study types. Our team members are extensively cross-trained across various techniques and procedures.

Role Overview
The Animal Facilities Manager provides strategic direction and leadership to the animal facility, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. The role emphasizes maintaining high standards of animal care, quality, compliance, and safety across all operations.
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience in developing high-performing teams.
* Ability to motivate, inspire, and promote innovation and continuous improvement.
* Expertise in capacity management within an animal facility.
* Experience in budget management.
* Background in highly regulated environments, with knowledge of relevant legislation including the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act.
* Institute of Animal Technology (IAT) qualifications or equivalent.
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Experience collaborating with leadership teams on strategic growth.
* Participation in external bodies related to Laboratory Animal Services.
