Quantity Surveyor – Social Housing Refurbishment
Location: Kingston-upon-Thames (site-based with hybrid flexibility)
Salary: Up to £50,000 package

We are working in partnership with a well-established and highly reputable social housing refurbishment contractor to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support their long-term planned works contract based in Kingston-upon-Thames.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and respected contractor delivering high-quality refurbishment and maintenance programmes across social housing stock. You will play a key role in the commercial management of planned works projects, ensuring cost control, value for money and contractual compliance across the programme.
The Role:
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing the commercial delivery of planned maintenance and refurbishment works across occupied social housing properties. Typical works include:
1. Kitchen and bathroom replacements
2. Window and door installations
3. Internal and external decorations
4. Associated planned maintenance and refurbishment works
You will work closely with operational teams, subcontractors and the client to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required standards.
Key Responsibilities:
5. Full commercial management of planned works projects from inception through to final account
6. Managing subcontractor procurement, payments and variations
7. Cost reporting, forecasting and budgeting
8. Valuations and client liaison
9. Managing and administering contracts in line with agreed terms
10. Ensuring works are delivered in line with the NHF Schedule of Rates
11. Supporting the wider commercial and operational teams
Requirements:
12. 2–3 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor within social housing planned works/refurbishment
13. Strong knowledge of planned maintenance programmes (kitchens, bathrooms, windows, doors, decorations, etc.)
14. Essential: Experience working with the NHF Schedule of Rates
15. Excellent commercial awareness and cost management skills
16. Strong communication and client-facing abilities
17. Full UK driving licence preferred
