SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary/Secondary SEN School (Rossendale)
Hours: 8:50am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Pay: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour
Location: Rossendale
We are looking for a dedicated and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Specialist Educational Needs school catering to both primary and secondary pupils. This is a rewarding role working with students who require additional support with their learning, communication, and daily routines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, MLD, PMLD, and complex needs
* Providing 1:1 and small-group support
* Assisting with personal care and promoting independence
* Supporting the class teacher with planning and delivering engaging activities
* Creating a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN
* Confidence with personal care
* A calm, patient, and resilient approach
* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
