Job Description
The role of Vocational Tutor is an excellent opportunity to support our learners, in developing their knowledge and skills, and helping them to access appropriate training and employment opportunities.
As a qualified tutor, you will teach Employability and Digital Functional Skills, to 16 to 19 year olds (up to 24 with an EHCP). You will be supported by our Lead Teachers, who are responsible for leading the team to drive up quality, reaching and exceeding KPIs, and promoting an ethos of continuous improvement.
*Access to a car, and a full driving licence, is required for this role.
Main Duties and Accountabilities
1. Delivering Digital Functional Skills and Customer Service.
2. Leading on the production of schemes of work, for service delivery.
3. Preparing and developing innovative lesson plans, designing and delivering group activities.
4. Delivering training to individual young people and groups, following the programme curriculum, setting objectives and targets for achievement.
5. Providing one to one support to learners where necessary.
