Special educational needs/SEN teaching assistant needed for September 2025 - July 2026 08:30 - 16:00 Monday - Friday PAYE, no umbrella companies About the role A mainstream primary school is looking for an SEN TA to join them for the next academic year to work 1-2-1 and in small groups with pupils with SEN. This is a full time role, Monday - Friday 8:30 - 16:00 and you must have experience working with special needs. Your roles will include- -Supporting pupils throughout the day where needed. This will include academic support, emotional support and social support -Working alongside the class teachers monitoring the progress of the pupils and ensuring they are receiving all the support needed -Supporting with lunchtime and playground duties -Assisting class teachers with set up of classrooms, school trips, and tidying after lessons -Carrying out small group sessions and assisting teachers with behaviour management About the school The school is a two form entry primary school located in Hackney. The school has a strong sense of community with high standards for their children, and are looking for a TA who can share this. You will receive support where needed from the SENCO, class teachers and partner TA's. Requirements To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching assistant you will: Have a DBS on the updated service or be willing to apply for one Have experience working with SEN children Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
