Role: Head of Finance

Rate: £90,000 - £100,000
Sellick Partnership are recruiting for an experienced Head of Finance to join a leading Charity organisation during a period of significant financial transformation.
This is a key leadership role, reporting into the Finance Director, and is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated, qualified accountant to lead a large finance team and deliver robust financial control, technical leadership and operational improvement across all areas of finance.
Key Responsibilities
Be accountable for the production of audited statutory financial statements and the completion of the external audit
Take overall responsibility for producing accurate and timely management accounts
Oversee the charity's cash flow forecasting and balance sheet reconciliations
Ensure robust financial processes and controls are in place across transactional teams (AP, AR, Treasury, etc.)
Lead the preparation and submission of VAT and Gift Aid returns, and manage treasury operations
Act as key point of contact for auditors, bankers and investment managers
Oversee compliance with financial, tax and regulatory requirements
Provide expert technical accounting advice to senior leadership
Act as financial lead for internal controls and fraud prevention
Serve as secretary to the Finance Committee and Investment Advisory Group
Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, processes and customer experience
Manage and develop a team of approximately 50, with 4 direct reports, embedding a culture of high performance and accountability
Champion inclusive leadership and embody the charity's values in all aspects of workKey Skills and Experience
Fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent)
Extensive experience in financial leadership roles with broad technical finance knowledge
Strong track record in managing finance functions across financial reporting, management accounting, and cash flow
Experience of leading finance teams through periods of change or transformation
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Charity or public sector reporting experience is desirable but not essential
