Peripatetic Saxophone/Clarinet Teacher
Cranford School is seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic, self-employed, part-time visiting instrumental music teacher for high quality saxophone/clarinet tuition. The successful candidate must be able to prepare students for music examinations and concerts and encourage a lifelong love of music. Possess the ability to establish strong working relationships with pupils, staff and parents and be able to inspire pupils at both primary and secondary level.
Teaching will be part time, in term time only. The hours of work are dictated by the number of pupils requiring lessons. There may be opportunities to get involved with other music-making activities in the Department including the running of extra-curricular ensembles.

Cranford School, Moulsford is on the A329 between Wallingford and Streatley, within easy commuting distance of Reading and Oxford.
Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality saxophone and clarinet tuition to students, including preparation for music examinations and concerts.
* Build and maintain positive working relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
* Inspire pupils at both primary and secondary levels.
* Coordinate with the Department on opportunities to run extra-curricular ensembles and other music-making activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Self-employed, part-time visiting instrumental music teacher.
* Ability to prepare students for music examinations and performances.
* Able to work term time only; hours depend on pupil demand.
* Willingness to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including DBS-related checks and providing evidence of qualifications and right to work in the UK.
* Consent to online checks on shortlisted candidates; complete Self-Disclosure forms as required.
* All positions are exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; shortlisted applicants must declare all previous convictions and cautions as part of the self-disclosure process.
