The role focuses on care planning, permanence planning, placement stability, and life-story work, working collaboratively with children, carers, families, and partner agencies. What you will do: Manage a caseload of looked-after children in line with statutory requirements Develop, implement, and review care plans and permanence plans Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns, undertaking direct work with children Contribute to care proceedings and prepare high-quality reports for court and decision-making forums Prepare for and attend Looked After Child (LAC) reviews, ensuring statutory duties are met Work collaboratively with foster carers, health professionals, and internal teams Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and participate in continuous professional development Person Specification: Degree in Social Work (BA / MA / DipSW) Registered with Social Work England (SWE) Experience within Children's Social Care, particularly Children in Care or Permanence Planning Experience in care planning and statutory reviews is highly desirable Liverpool is a vibrant and diverse city, known for its friendly communities, rich cultural history, and strong sense of identity.
