Teaching Personnel is seeking a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Bootle this April.
As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups who require additional social, emotional, or behavioural support.
Implement tailored behaviour strategies to help children regulate and succeed.
Work closely with the class teacher to assist with interventions and classroom routines.
Contribute to creating a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment.
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils who may display challenging behaviours.
This role is ideal for candidates with experience in education, youth work, support work, or behaviour-related roles.
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience supporting children or young people with behavioural or SEMH needs.
Remains patient, calm, and consistent under pressure.
Can build positive rapport quickly and encourage pupils effectively.
Understands (or is willing to learn) de‑escalation and behaviour support techniques.
Is proactive, reliable, and passionate about making a difference.
Holds, or is able to obtain, an enhanced child workforce DBS.
Bootle is well‑connected across Sefton and Liverpool, with regular transport links from:

Crosby, Litherland & Netherton
Seaforth & Aintree

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
