Tree surgery team improving climber

Offer description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to undertake the role of Improving (second) Climber within Southampton City Council’s Tree Surgery Team.

You will possess a professional approach to tree management and impeccable working standards. You will work within a tree surgery team to provide a visible and responsive front-line service to the local community. Your work will help to make Southampton a safer, healthier, cleaner and more attractive City.

You will be competent and experienced in aerial tree work, the use of chainsaws and associated land-based machinery. You must have a full, clean driving licence along with a good level of fitness. A towing licence and a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in arboriculture is desirable.

It is essential for you to work outdoors, sometimes in poor weather.

* Hours of work-07.30-15-30 Monday-Thursday, 07.30-15.00 Friday.

Salary: The salary band for this role is £32,061 - £36,362. The starting salary is £32,061with annual progression through the salary bands.
