The Role We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Shift Planner / Care Coordinator to join our busy team in Leeds. This role is central to ensuring that client shifts are filled promptly and effectively with qualified, reliable staff. You'll coordinate rotas, communicate with clients and workers, manage shift changes, and be part of an out-of-hours on-call rota. Key Responsibilities * Shift Scheduling: Plan and allocate shifts based on client requirements and staff availability. * On-Call Support: Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota (evenings/weekends/public holidays). * Client Communication: Liaise with care providers to confirm bookings, handle changes, and manage expectations. * Staff Liaison: Confirm shifts, resolve queries, and support temporary workers as needed. * Problem Solving: Manage last-minute cancellations, no-shows, or other urgent staffing issues. * System Management: Maintain up-to-date records using our CRM and scheduling tools. * Compliance: Ensure all shifts meet regulatory and company standards. * Reporting: Produce regular updates on shift fill rates, worker performance, and client satisfaction. * Process Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements to the coordination process. What We're Looking For * Experience in healthcare recruitment, shift planning, or working in a care environment (e.g., care assistant or coordinator). * Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and written skills. * Highly organised with the ability to multitask and work under pressure. * IT literate – experience with CRM systems or scheduling tools preferred. * Flexible and reliable – willing to participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota. * Calm under pressure and quick to resolve issues. * Enthusiastic about the healthcare sector and delivering excellent service.
