Payroll Delivery Specialist - 12 Months Full Time Contract
In this Payroll Delivery Specialist role, you will manage UK and Crown Dependency payrolls, lead the transition of Crown Dependency payroll to the EME team, and oversee post-payroll activities. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate and timely payments and submissions to HMRC and vendors, collaborating with the Control team to complete monthly processes efficiently, reviewing working instructions, the governance calendar, and ensuring timely HMRC returns.
The role also involves contributing to change projects and the Global HR Transformation Program, focusing on system design, implementation, and process reengineering. Key tasks include overseeing monthly post-payroll activities, providing support and guidance, implementing operational governance, ensuring team readiness for change, driving development, and maintaining compliance with legislative and policy requirements. Collaboration with Continuous Improvement and Change Teams and contributing to projects are also essential.
To succeed as a Payroll Delivery Specialist, you must have experience with:
1. Extensive payroll administration and support experience at an expertise level.
2. Decision-making that accounts for policy, legislation, operational performance, and team deliverables.
3. Influencing and negotiating with senior management.
4. Maturity and experience handling complex and challenging situations.
5. Evaluating and implementing or rejecting proposed operational changes.
6. Proven success in driving process and procedural change initiatives from conception to implementation.

Purpose of the role
Manage payroll functions, including calculating employee pay, withholding taxes, deductions, and maintaining accurate payroll records.
Accountabilities
* Processing payroll for hourly, salaried, and commissioned employees, calculating taxes and contributions, and processing payments.
* Managing employee payroll records and troubleshooting issues.
* Providing guidance and support to employees on payroll matters.
* Ensuring compliance with statutory filings and managing responses to government notices.
* Handling payroll statutory reporting and liaising with tax authorities.
* Contributing to policy development, operational effectiveness, and collaborating with other business functions.
* Leading a team or guiding collaborative assignments, setting objectives, coaching, and appraising performance.
* Demonstrating leadership behaviors to foster a productive environment.
