The Technical Manager Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Manager or Senior Technical Coordinator to join a well-established housing developer in their South Midlands region, based in Northampton. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional looking to take the next step in their career.
Reporting to the Technical Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all design and utility information between external and internal stakeholders. They will ensure all necessary approvals are obtained on time and that accurate, high-quality information is provided to other departments.
The role involves setting, monitoring and delivering targets, producing accurate and timely reports. The successful candidate will manage their own sites with minimal supervision, typically up to 5 at a time through all stages from planning to completion.
This role offers a mix of office and site-based work, with travel required to projects in and around Northampton.
To be considered for the Technical Manager position:
1. Minimum of 5 years' experience in the construction or development industry.
2. Strong knowledge of building legislation, planning processes and partnership agreements.
3. Background in architecture, engineering or site/project management.
4. Ability to coordinate design and technical aspects effectively across departments.
5. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
