Introduction
An established manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector to support inspection and quality assurance activities across incoming and internally manufactured products. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a strong manufacturing quality background to join a quality-driven environment.
Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, the role plays a key part in ensuring products meet internal standards and customer requirements prior to release.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out visual, functional, and dimensional inspections using basic inspection equipment
* Inspect products received from suppliers and manufactured in-house
* Complete and maintain inspection records, including non-conformance reports
* Produce and support AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR)
* Work from engineering drawings, work instructions, inspection templates, and golden samples
* Support non-conformance investigations and 8D corrective actions
* Assist with in-process audits and quality checks
* Communicate quality issues with suppliers and internal departments
* Maintain accurate digital quality records and documentation
* Adhere to company Health & Safety and quality procedures at all times
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience in a Quality Control / Inspection role within manufacturing
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a production or manufacturing environment
* Strong attention to detail and methodical working approach
* Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
* Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Reporting
* Knowledge of quality standards such as AS9100 and ISO 9001
* Competent using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Professional, reliable, and a strong team player
* Aerospace experience desirable but not essential
