This is a pivotal role at the heart of the School’s commitment to ensuring that every pupil is supported to learn, grow, and excel.
The Whole School Director of Inclusive Learning (SENDCo) is a key leader within the St Paul’s community. The postholder will act as Head of the Learning Support Department (SENDCo) at St Paul’s School, while also providing line management and professional leadership to the Head of Learning Support at St Paul’s Prep School. Working across both settings, the role offers a unique opportunity to shape a coherent, high-quality approach to learning support from early years through to senior school.
Central to this role is the belief that, with the right provision in place, all pupils can make outstanding progress. The Whole School Director of Inclusive Learning (SENDCo) will define and articulate the vision, strategy, and practice of Learning Support across both schools, ensuring that provision is inclusive, evidence-informed, and responsive to the needs of individual pupils.
An expert teacher and practitioner, the successful candidate will work seamlessly with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to secure the best possible outcomes for pupils. They will lead and develop high-performing teams, manage resources thoughtfully and effectively, and model best practice in teaching, assessment, and intervention. Through inspirational leadership, the Whole School Director of Inclusive Learning (SENDCo) will ensure that Learning Support is fully integrated into the academic and pastoral life of the Schools.
This appointment calls for a leader with deep professional expertise, strong interpersonal skills, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education within a high-achieving academic environment.
