Are you a Geotechnical Engineer looking to join a growing multidisciplinary consultancy where you'll have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of geotechnical and geoenvironmental projects?
Our client is a well-established consultancy with a close-knit team of specialists delivering high-quality geotechnical and environmental solutions across the residential and commercial sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Geotechnical Engineer to support their expanding project portfolio.
The Role
You will join a small to medium-sized team, working closely with experienced geotechnical and geoenvironmental professionals on projects ranging from housing developments to commercial and mixed-use schemes.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and managing ground investigation projects.
Interpreting ground investigation data and laboratory test results.
Producing geotechnical assessment reports and foundation recommendations.
Undertaking slope stability, earthworks and settlement assessments.
Supporting geoenvironmental assessments and contaminated land projects.
Liaising with clients, contractors and regulatory bodies.
Assisting with project management and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Mentoring junior staff where appropriate.Requirements
Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Geology, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience within a geotechnical or multidisciplinary consultancy environment.
Strong report writing and technical interpretation skills.
Understanding of geotechnical design principles and site investigation practices.
Knowledge of contaminated land and geoenvironmental assessments would be advantageous.
Full UK driving licence.
