Consultant Psychiatrist – 0‑18 CAMHS Team
Cheshire and Wirral Partnership Foundation NHS Trust is recruiting a Part‑Time (6 Sessions) Consultant Psychiatrist within the 0‑18 CAMHS Team in Central Cheshire. The Team is based at Mill Street Centre in Crewe.
Job responsibilities include:
* Participate in the Consultant Psychiatrist on‑call rota.
* Manage, appraise and give professional supervision to junior medical staff in accordance with the Trust’s personnel policies and the Modernising Medical Careers framework.
* Carry out administrative duties associated with patient care.
* Record clinical activity accurately and comprehensively, and submit it promptly to the Information Department.
* Participate in service and business planning activity for the locality and, as appropriate, for the whole mental health service.
* Participate in annual appraisal for consultants.
* Attend and participate in the Trust’s academic programme, including lectures and seminars as part of the internal CPD programme.
* Maintain professional registration with the General Medical Council, Mental Health Act Section 12(2) approval, and abide by professional codes of conduct.
* Participate annually in a job plan review with the clinical manager and relevant manager to ensure the post is developed in line with service configuration changes.
* Work with local managers and professional colleagues to ensure efficient service delivery and contribute to medical management.
All new starters will commence in post on one fixed start date each month, in line with the Prepare to Care (P2C) induction programme, which offers up to three weeks of training to support induction and initial training requirements of the role.
