Job Description
This role is ideal for an experienced Associate or Senior Associate who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working across a range of practice areas. You will support multiple teams on high-value, significant cases-providing hands-on experience, autonomy, and an opportunity to build a broad internal and external network.You'll play a vital role in meeting evolving client demands and will be valued for your adaptability, insight and relationship‑building skills. 3. Acting on behalf of insurers and self‑insured commercial organisations.
4. Managing and assisting with a varied caseload of Catastrophic motor, EL/PL and indemnity large loss matters along with providing representation at inquests, representing clinicians before their regulatory body, medical device/product liability work and general advisory work.
5. Conducting investigations, taking witness statements, and analysing medical records and expert reports.
6. Identifying and securing evidence from claimant representatives.
7. Complying with reporting, reserving and SLA requirements across multiple clients.
8. Full file management including drafting reports, correspondence and documentation.
9. Attending court hearings, CMCs, pre‑trial meetings, and adhering to court timetables.
10. Supporting Partners in delivering outstanding client service and strengthening relationships.
11. Drafting advice and documents for clients.
12. Handling interlocutory applications, CMCs and client meetings.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Flexible Associate/SA - Large Loss/Healthcare should have experience in dealing with large loss or clinical negligence matters. Please note the level of experience identified in this advert is a guide only and does not preclude candidates with more or less experience from applying.
