Interim Management Accountant | Contract -12 months | £42-£48k | Onsite/Flexible working options Your new company Our client is a leading player in the manufacturing sector, renowned for delivering high-quality products and driving innovation across its operations. With a strong reputation and a commitment to excellence, they are embarking on one of their largest projects to date and require an experienced Management Accountant to join their team on a contract basis. As a Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the finance function during a critical period. This is a 12-month contract starting immediately, offering on-site, flexible working. You will take ownership of financial management for one of the company’s biggest projects, ensuring accurate reporting, cost control, and strategic insights to support decision-making. Your new role Preparation of monthly management accounts and variance analysis. Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Cost analysis and margin reporting. Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting and reconciliation. Monitoring production costs and overhead allocation. Stock valuation and inventory control. Supporting project costing and profitability analysis. Assisting with transactional finance tasks where required. Supporting audit preparation and compliance activities. Liaising with operational teams to ensure accurate financial data. What you'll need to succeed Part-qualified or finalist level (CIMA/ACCA). Strong experience in management accounting within manufacturing. Proven ability to manage WIP, stock, and project costing. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines. Strong communication skills to liaise with finance and operational teams. What you'll get in return Contract length: Up to 12 months. Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 (depending on experience). Flexible working arrangements (onsite with some flexibility).
