Our client is a key player in the metal recycling industry and seeks an experienced Scrap Metal Trader with a background in purchasing ferrous materials. The successful candidate will source and purchase ferrous and non‑ferrous materials, develop supplier relationships, and ensure competitive pricing to maximize profitability.
Key Responsibilities
* Sourcing scrap metal from a network of suppliers.
* Negotiating competitive pricing and contracts to maximize margins.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and industry contacts.
* Monitoring market trends and identifying opportunities for growth.
* Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Requirements
* Proven experience in scrap metal trading.
* Strong negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
* A results‑driven mindset with the ability to work independently.
* A commercial and growth mindset.
* Excellent market knowledge and commercial awareness.
Package Details
* Competitive salary (negotiable depending on experience).
* Company Car Allowance.
* A highly attractive quarterly bonus structure.
* Monday to Friday 08:15 – 16:45.
* 23 days annual leave + Bank Holiday.
