Long-Term Teachers are proud to be working in partnership with a warm and well-resourced specialist SEN school that supports pupils with autism and communication difficulties across all age groups. Due to internal redeployment of staff during exam season, they are seeking reliable and adaptable Supply Teaching Assistants to join their team on an ad-hoc basis.

About The Role:
This flexible, term-time only position is ideal for someone who thrives in a varied environment. As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you’ll support students with additional needs, ensuring they are engaged and supported throughout the school day.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting teachers in delivering lessons and activities across a range of subjects
* Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups to help them access learning
* Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
* Adapting communication and support strategies to suit individual needs
* Stepping in to provide general classroom support wherever needed
What We’re Looking For:
The position is ideal for:
* Experienced Teaching Assistants looking for flexible work
* Individuals with care, youth work, residential or sports coach backgrounds looking to transition into education
* Students or graduates seeking meaningful school-based experience
* Calm, proactive and reliable professionals with a strong interest in SEN
You will need:
* Previous experience supporting children or young people is essential (school or similar setting)
* An enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
* A positive, patient and resilient attitude
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* The flexibility to work across age groups and learning needs
