Job Summary
Maximising the profitability of specified product categories, improving customer satisfaction, and cash profit.
We are looking to recruit a Category / Buying Manager in the Retail Grocery team, managing Crisps, Snacks & Nuts, based at one of our offices in Eccles, Wellingborough, or Watford.

Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement category plans to meet sales, margin, and profit goals while maintaining product availability.
* Grow own brand business through sourcing and supplier negotiations.
* Negotiate annually with suppliers for favorable terms.
* Respond to customer feedback to shape category strategies.
* Handle customer queries professionally and promptly.
* Communicate category plans effectively within the team.
* Ensure product displays reflect good, better, best principles.
* Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
* Adhere to the Business Code of Conduct, promoting diversity and inclusion.
Requirements:
* Operational skills relevant to the role.
* Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to work independently, solve problems, and make commercial decisions.
* Attention to detail, report writing, data interpretation, and record keeping skills.
* Knowledge of relevant markets and developments.
* Flexible work approach.
Experience:
* Previous buying experience preferred.
* Extensive experience in FMCG.
* Proven ability to work autonomously.
* Experience in developing and managing marketing campaigns.
