An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Architectural Technologist to join our Architectural Team within the Central Design and Engineering function at our Head Office in York. As a Senior Architectural Technologist, you will have a broad background and strong technical experience across various sectors and projects. You will serve as the design/technical lead on projects, involved in client discussions, coordination of designs, and leading projects from concept through to completion.
Responsibilities include:
* Leading the design coordination of projects, including integrating internal and external design packages.
* Contributing to the design programme and ensuring all information aligns with the project timeline.
* Liaising with internal and external design consultants.
* Assisting Lead Designers with design coordination matters.
* Developing an understanding of design coordination within the team.
* Preparing detailed building designs and models using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Lumion from concept to completion, focusing on user needs, site & building surveys, and regulatory requirements.
* Communicating design decisions to the wider project team.
* Monitoring health and safety in design, including preparing risk assessments and residual risk registers.
* Managing planning and building control applications and discharging associated conditions.
* Adapting designs as needed during construction and resolving arising issues.

* Proven track record of leading projects from concept to completion.
* Knowledge of building systems, compliance, and approval processes.
* Registered with MCIAT.
* Knowledge of construction detailing and building interfaces.
