Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Chorley/Blackburn - Hybrid Job Description: We are seeking an aspiring and competent Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our North-West and Central commercial team. This role is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing business that offers independent workload management and ample development opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Oversee projects from contract award to final account agreement, ensuring all commercial and contractual aspects are efficiently managed to maximize return. Hybrid Working: Balance office-based work in Chorley or Blackburn with home working and site visits as required. Mentorship: Commercially manage regional workload and mentor an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor. Commercial Support: Provide assistance, support, and guidance on all commercial issues within projects. Financial Reporting: Prepare internal CVRs, Cost Reports, Valuations/Applications for Payment, and other necessary reports on a monthly basis. Subcontract Management: Handle subcontract and key materials procurement, including tender invitations, quotation analysis, and account administration. Risk Management: Maintain an up-to-date Cost to Complete and Risk Register, manage Early Warning Notices, and proactively handle commercial risks and opportunities. Cost Control: Utilize focalpoint costing system to enhance cost control and commercial reporting. Contractual Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all Group Procedures and establish robust site record systems for cost substantiation.
