A position has arisen within the Environmental Services Directorate for a highly motivated Principal Transport Officer to make an active and positive contribution to the overall management of the Integrated Transport Unit, based in Ty Glantaf.
The successful candidate will provide management and support in relation to the Integrated Transport Unit’s Home to School/College, Community Care, Travel Training, and Public Transport provisions. The position will involve managing a team of Transport Officers and Travel Trainers; and contract management to ensure passengers continue to receive a high-quality transport provision. You will be responsible for the maintenance of management information systems, investigating and responding to complaints and enquiries and maintaining close working relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
You must possess excellent supervisory skills, be able to focus on service users and delivery, successfully manage your workload in a timely and efficient manner, and deliver excellent managerial support to your team and service area.
You must have exceptional attention to detail, be proficient in the use of IT packages, have good oral, written and communication skills, be a good organiser with a flexible approach to work and be customer focussed.
