We have an exciting opportunity here at our Tarmac Leeds - Dry Silo Mortar Plant.
We are currently looking for an Operative to join our team.
Main Responsibilities
Reporting to our Plant Supervisor, the successful Operative will be responsible for actively participating in and taking ownership of activities to ensure plant safety, availability, production output, and quality.
You will also be responsible for:
* Meeting daily production targets.
* Reporting data for quality purposes.
* Moving, loading, and unloading products from the plant and vehicles.
* Meeting customer service requirements through accurate loading and timely vehicle turnaround.
* Continuous improvement of performance standards.
* Continuous improvement of plant and production methods.
The role requires working on a shift pattern of 5am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm. Due to the shift pattern and location, it is essential that you have your own transport.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in an industrial, factory, or similar environment, with roles such as Fork Lift Truck Operative, Multi-Skilled Operative, or Labourer. Good communication skills and a desire to develop both operative and supervisory skills are also important.
