Supply Desk is working in partnership with a supportive and well-regarded school in the High Wycombe area to appoint an enthusiastic and committed PE Teacher.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to join a dynamic department and inspire students to develop a lifelong love of sport, fitness, and healthy living.
The Role
As a PE Teacher, you will play a key role in promoting physical activity, teamwork, and personal development, delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 1 and 2.
You will contribute to both curriculum PE and extracurricular sport, helping to build a strong sporting culture within the school.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across a range of sports and activities
* Inspire pupils to participate actively and develop their physical skills and confidence
* Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyles
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to support development
* Support pupils of all abilities, including those with additional needs
* Contribute to extracurricular clubs, fixtures, and school sporting events
* Maintain a safe and positive learning environment in line with health and safety standards
* Work collaboratively with colleagues within the PE department and wider school
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience teaching PE in a Primary school setting (or strong placement experience)
* Strong subject knowledge across a range of sports
* Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
* Passionate, energetic, and engaging teaching style
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to work full-time in the High Wycombe area from September
Desirable
* Experience teaching Primary PE
* Ability to contribute to a range of extracurricular sports
* Experience supporting pupils with SEN
* Knowledge of assessment frameworks within PE
* Commitment to ongoing professional development
