Role: Nursing Home Manager – Dementia Specialist

Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 (OTE £90,000)
Brand-New Commissioning Opportunity – Dementia Specialist Service
We're working with a leading care provider to recruit a Home Manager for a brand-new, 30-bed service in Barnsley, specialising in dementia care. This is an exciting opportunity to take the reins from day one and shape a service that aspires to achieve Platinum status with the University of Stirling for excellence in dementia care.
To be considered, you’ll need to be a Registered Nurse (RMN or RNLD preferred) with strong experience in dementia and mental health. This provider has one of the strongest reputations in the sector, with robust staffing structures in place. Each unit will be well-supported with nurses, unit leads, HCAs, and a Clinical Deputy Manager, giving you the space to focus on leadership, compliance, and driving quality across the home.
What we’re looking for:
A confident, experienced manager with a track record in running nursing homes
Someone who understands the complexities of working with residents with dementia, mental health needs, or behaviours that challenge
A leader who can inspire a team and uphold high standards of person-centred care
Key responsibilities:
Lead and develop a high-performing care team
Oversee all aspects of the home’s operations
Champion best practice in dementia and mental health care
Maintain compliance with all regulatory and clinical governance standards
Work closely with families, staff, and external professionals
