A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 14-year-old boy with Autism living in Ynysybwl Pontypridd area. I am a very outgoing person and I love being outdoors, my favourite things are my trampoline and my swimming pool in my garden. I do like my own space and routine in my life and it may take me a while to adjust to new people so I would like my mum to spend time with us too on times until I feel comfortable on my own with you.
Due to my disability I find it hard with boundaries and sometimes I may approach people as I see tunnel vision and just concentrate on what is in front of me rather than what is around me so I will need supervision with that when out and about.
I don’t like loud noises and big crowds of people as this makes me very anxious. I can get violent when this happens which is very distressing for others and myself around me.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
My mum is looking for 2:1 support for me when we are out in the community and make sure that my safety is always cared for. Sometimes my mum will be with us, but would still need full support.
HOURS OF WORK
4 hours per week after school/weekends 2:1 support
RATES OF PAY
£14.00 per hour plus Mileage.
TASKS CAN INCLUDE
· Personal Care
· Social outings
· Any other reasonable task
· Ensuring my safety and well-being at all times.
· Encouraging and praising me in order to build my confidence.
· Supervising my behavior when we are out
· Having the patience to build a relationship with me and actively working on building my trust
· Helping me develop healthy boundaries with others
