Job Summary
Kent School of English is looking for dynamic Activity Leaders to help run its busy programme of afternoon, evening and weekend activities for international students, teenagers and adults, coming to us from a variety of different countries to improve their English.
Could you sing on a karaoke evening and give a guided tour of London or Canterbury? Maybe organise a beach barbecue, run a volleyball match, host a quiz night or take a group bowling? If so you could be the person we're looking for.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Leading excursions and giving guided tours of London, Canterbury and other destinations
· Leading a wide range of social cultural activities (karaoke, beach barbecue, bowling, barn dance, quiz, sports afternoons…)
· Encouraging students to play a full part in all activities and practise their spoken English.
· Ensuring the safety of students on activities
· Supervising students in the town centre at lunchtimes
· Helping students cross busy roads on their way to school
It's a very varied and enjoyable job
Qualifications and Skills
We'll provide plenty of on-the-job training. You need to be responsible, interested in meeting people and not afraid of a challenge.
The wellbeing of our students is paramount: all successful applicants will need an enhanced DBS certificate and suitable references. Referees will be asked specifically whether the candidate is suitable to work with children aged under 18. All new recruits will undergo safeguarding training.
Job Type: Full-time. Weekday afternoon and evening shifts. Full day trips on Saturdays.
