Job Title: Construction Site Manager
Location: Plymouth
Contract Length: 12 Months
Pay Rate: Up to £62 per hour (INSIDE IR35)
Skills:
Ensure compliance with high safety, environmental, and quality requirements on-site.
Develop and track a plan for key activities and milestones to meet project schedule.
Assist in the development and monitoring of project progress. Help achieve key milestones and objectives.
Implement cost control measures to avoid financial overspend. Regularly monitor and report on project progress.
Ensure work complies with the project's quality goals and safety case requirements. Maintain alignment with the overall program objectives.
Proactively identify and manage high-risk areas of the work package. Coordinate effective interface management.
Manage and distribute project documentation (e.g., drawings, schedules) in line with company and project procedures. Maintain a document tracking register.
Coordinate with sub-contractors and document control teams for issuing and receiving documents. Ensure up-to-date information is available for planning and construction purposes.
Qualifications/Experience:
Demonstrated construction site management experience, ideally in regulated environments (e.g., MOD, Nuclear, Ports
Availability to attend site five days a week during the construction phase.
CITB SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certified. BPSS security clearance as a minimum; willing to obtain SC clearance.
Supervisory experience in temporary works. Ideally, a full Temporary Works Coordinator qualification.
Recognized qualifications such as NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management or equivalent.
Previous experience working in Devonport Dockyard is highly desirable.
