Overview
Role Overview As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) in urgent care, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care in a fast-paced environment. Your duties will typically include:
* Conducting patient assessments and physical examinations
* Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions
* Prescribing medications and treatments within your scope of practice
* Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
* Referring patients to appropriate services when necessary
* Promoting preventative care and health education
* Managing long-term conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and hypertension
* Documenting care accurately using EMIS or SystmOne
Requirements
* Registered Nurse with ANP qualification
* NMC registration
* Independent Prescriber status
* Experience in primary care, urgent care, or walk-in centres
* Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
