We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Architect/Architectural Designer to support the Principle Architect in the delivery of projects in the architectural design team at Concertus based in Ipswich! This opportunity will join the Concertus team, working across a broad range of sectors which include Local Authorities, Schools and Multi Academy trusts, helping shape the built environment and grow your professional profile. You will help manage all aspects of Architectural design, ranging from client lead to contract administration. Key Responsibilities but not limited to Lead Liaison with clients and develop the relevant aspects of client briefs. Assist the Principal and Associate in the development and delivery of new processes for the Studio Deliver projects within agreed budget, assessing the fee proposal and taking into account other team member timescales and required profit margins. Work around constraining factors such as planning legislation, building regulations, environmental impact and project budget Prepare and present feasibility reports and high quality design proposals. Prepare working drawings, details and specifications for pricing and construction issue Hold an awareness of BIM, its strategic and operational importance to Concertus and how it is used by design and property teams Liaise with clients, suppliers, contractors and clients to populate the CDE and BIM software with the necessary information required for design teams to utilise BIM. Design using BIM software, working from one collaborative model and ensuring the accuracy of information. About You You will have an Architectural degree or equivalent experience Chartered membership with CIAT or ARB or a desire to work towards this Extensive experience with Building Control and Planning Applications Systems proficiency including Microsoft Office and CAD (ArchiCAD experience preferred but not essential), you would be expected to undertake CAD work for projects they were assigned to Skillsets in conciliation, negotiation, problem solving and leadership Ability to prioritise and organise own work load to meet targets and deadlines.
