Are you a strong communicator who can lead a team to deliver an excellent patient-centred service? Do you have experience and/or knowledge of Pharmacy Homecare operations?
We are seeking a Homecare and Procurement Officer to join the Pharmacy department. This role primarily oversees the daily administrative and operational responsibilities of the Pharmacy Homecare Service, supporting over 2,500 patients receiving medicines at home. Responsibilities include coordinating with homecare providers, maintaining accurate service records, supporting stock control, and managing billing processes to ensure a smooth, cost-efficient, and patient-focused service.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail, and effective communication skills. While the main focus is on Homecare, the role also involves supporting the Pharmacy Procurement team, liaising with suppliers, assisting with stock ordering, and ensuring compliance with contractual purchasing agreements.

* To provide a comprehensive and efficient daily homecare and procurement service to the trust, developing and updating services while following all legal and departmental practices, including Standing Operating Procedures (SOPs), MHRA Rules and Guidance for Pharmaceutical Distributors, COSHH, Lifting and Handling Regulations, and all Trust Policies and Procedures.
* To assist the Chief Technician and Pharmacy Business Manager in developing cost improvements for the department and trust.

Operational Responsibilities:
* Receive and prioritize correspondence and queries for the Homecare team, responding to routine inquiries.
Management:
* Provide daily supervision and coordination of homecare staff.
Reporting:
* Produce performance data in graphical form related to the Homecare team, supporting adherence to KPIs and future performance measures.
Quality:
* Collaborate with staff in other disciplines to ensure the safe, effective, and economical use of drugs.
