Chester (Field-Based Role)
£60,000 to £65,000 + Overtime + Vehicle + Bonus
Neos Engineering are partnering with a reputable electrical engineering firm specialising in high-voltage (HV) infrastructure projects across North Wales/ North West. Due to ongoing expansion, they are seeking experienced HV Cable Jointers to join their field-based team operating in North Wales and surrounding areas.
The Role:
Carry out jointing, termination, and testing of high-voltage cables on live and de-energised networks
Work on a range of projects including underground cable installations, repairs, and maintenance
Perform fault finding and cable fault repairs on HV systems
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and site-specific safety procedures
Liaise with site teams, clients, and Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) to facilitate smooth project execution
Complete accurate records of work performed and testing outcomes
Travel to various sites across Birmingham and the wider Midlands region as required
The Candidate:
Proven experience as an HV Cable Jointer working on high-voltage networks
Relevant certifications and qualifications for HV cable jointing (City & Guilds or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of HV safety regulations, live working procedures, and network operations
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the Midlands
CSCS card and other relevant health and safety qualifications preferred
