Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Duties
* Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve manufacturing issues effectively.
* Utilise AutoCAD and SolidWorks for creating and modifying engineering drawings making improvements withing the designs to improve quality and efficiency.
* Develop and implement programmes for automated processes within the robotic welding process.
* Collaborate with departments to support continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing operations.
* Design tooling and fixtures for fabrication processes, ensuring they meet production requirements.
* Provide mechanical knowledge to support assembly operations, manual and robotic welding tasks.
* Conduct regular assessments of manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and optimisation.
Qualifications
* A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
* Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in fabrication and assembly processes.
* Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
